Trabzon, located on the northeastern coast of Turkey along the Black Sea, is a city where lush green mountains meet the sea. Famous for its stunning nature, rich history, and vibrant culture, Trabzon offers unique experiences with its highland villages, ancient monasteries, and local flavors. From the misty peaks of Uzungöl to the iconic Sumela Monastery, it’s a hidden gem waiting to be explored.

*The first stop is the Sumela Monastery, located about 40–45 minutes from Trabzon. You'll also enjoy a short break by a scenic waterfall on the way.
Originally founded by two Athenian priests, Barnabas and Sophronios, during the reign of Byzantine Emperor Theodosius I (375–395), the monastery as we know it today has stood since the 13th century.
*After visiting Sumela, the tour continues to Zigana Highland Holiday Village, where you’ll enjoy a traditional lunch at a local restaurant.
*Next, explore the Karaca Cave, often called “nature’s underground palace.” This fascinating cave features an incredible array of stalactites, stalagmites, cave roses, calcite crystals, and even chrysanthemum-like formations – all still actively forming.
*The final stop is Hamsiköy, a charming village nestled on the slopes of the Zigana Mountains. Surrounded by pine forests and located at an altitude of around 300 meters, the area is known for its breathtaking nature and traditional rice pudding ("sütlaç").
*At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
*You will be picked up from your hotel in Trabzon in the morning to begin the Uzungöl Tour.
*On the way to Uzungöl, we’ll stop at the famous Sürmene Knife Workshop, known for its handcrafted blades and centuries-old tradition.
*Next, we visit a local tea factory, where you’ll learn how Turkey’s most beloved tea is produced—right from the tea fields of Trabzon. You’ll also have the chance to taste and buy fresh tea.
*The journey continues to the breathtaking Sultan Murat Plateau, located at an altitude of 2,200 meters. Surrounded by rich greenery and fresh mountain air, it offers a serene escape and stunning landscapes.
*Afterward, we head to the upper slopes of Uzungöl, where we’ll take a short break near artificial waterfalls, a perfect spot for panoramic photos.
*You will then enjoy free time by the lake and have lunch at a local restaurant by the shore.

*Explore the unique natural beauty of Uzungöl, a picturesque lake nestled between forested mountains and wooden houses.
*After the visit, we’ll return to Trabzon, and you'll be transferred back to your hotel.
*You will be picked up from your hotel in Trabzon in the morning for a full-day Ayder & Rize Tour.
*Our first stop is Sürmene, a town known for its high-quality, handcrafted knives. We’ll take a 30-minute break here to explore and shop.
*Next, we visit the Rize Tekpa Store, famous for its handwoven pure cotton textiles, offering a glimpse into the region’s traditional craftsmanship.
*On the way to Ayder, we’ll stop by Dağ-Raft Rafting School.

*Once in Ayder, we will visit one of the most scenic waterfalls in the highlands, located near the summit.
*Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and take some free time to discover the natural beauty of Ayder Plateau — known for its wooden houses, alpine meadows, and fresh mountain air.
*On the way back to Trabzon, we’ll stop for a tea break near a historic Ottoman stone bridge over the Fırtına (Storm) Stream — a great photo opportunity.
*Return to Trabzon and transfer back to your hotel.
*You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning for a full-day Trabzon city tour.
*The first visit is to the Hagia Sophia of Trabzon, a historic monastery church built between 1250–1260 by King Manuel I of the Komnenos dynasty. During the Ottoman period, it was converted into a mosque.
*Next, we visit the Atatürk Pavilion, a charming early 20th-century mansion surrounded by pine trees, where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk once stayed.
*Lunch break in the Akçaabat district, where you’ll enjoy the region’s famous Akçaabat meatballs.
*After lunch, we visit Sera Lake, a popular recreational spot where visitors can enjoy a relaxing time or rent lake bicycles (optional).
*Around 16:00, we head to Boztepe, offering panoramic views of the city, and then visit Forum Trabzon, the city’s largest shopping mall, for some leisure time or souvenir shopping.
*End of the tour and transfer back to your hotel.
